Main project features: Assess stakeholders’ awareness, perceptions and understanding of domestic environmental legislation related to agricultural investment in Laos; and identify the key environmental issues according to each stakeholder group, as well as categorise the gaps and needs of agricultural investors, communities and local authorities to manage or address environmental impacts related to agricultural investment.

Main project features: The project will improve the irrigated agricultural economics, and enhance crop productivity, diversification, and commercialization. It will strengthen the capacity of farmers and agribusinesses and promote sustainability along the value chain.

Activities performed: Complete a thorough review of financial management at all levels and ensure that it complies with Bank requirements; Undertake a series of regular visits to the central and provincial PMU to assist them with financial management; Ensure that the provinces have adequate financial management capacity and provide ongoing support to them; Monitor financial management issues and advise PMU about overcoming the issues; Conducted business modelling and value chain for farmers; Provided on-the-job training on business modelling and value chain also advised on any training required to improve capacity; Developed billing mechanism for the project

Activities performed:  Carried out the activities related to institutional improvement, and economic analysis; Conducted Financial Management Assessment (FMA) following ADb form for PMU and local units; Determined the completed work, payment, disbursement ,evaluation the disbursement by quarterly, and year  and compared the quantity completed with finance planning , total investment cost , detected  the difficulties and obstacles affecting the implementation of the project and proposed solutions to deal with difficulties and obstacles related financial management; Coordinated with the project accountant to develop the billing mechanism for the project.

Main project features: The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Community Education Development is located in Vientiane Capital of the Lao PDR. The Centre supports to strengthen the relationship and increase mutual understanding among community leaders, educational researchers, practitioners and policy makers of the region.
