Abstract

A study the Factors Influencing Organizational Commitment Of Employees At VietinBank Lao Limited (Head office)Purposes for: (1) Addressing the level of employee’s engagement, (2) Comparing employee’s engagement levels by personal factors of sample of 162 employees of VietinBank Lao Limited; it was a quantitative research study in the form of a survey. The statistics used included: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, Oneway ANOVA, F-test, T-test and Least of Significant Difference (LSD). Bases on the study results, it was found that a majority of the respondents were females under 30 years old, the level of education at the bachelor’s degree and above. The respondents included individuals with working experiences ranking from 4 to 6 years and an average wage from 4,000,000 to 8,000,000 kip. The level of employee’s engagement was assessed across 15 categories, which were ranked in order of importance, wages emerged as the highest-ranked factors in term employee’s engagement followed by supervisor’s supervision which ranked as the second highest factors. The remaining factors influencing employee’s engagement in descending order were: relationship with colleagues, privacy of life, working security, working conditions, working environment, policies and opportunities for promotion. Other factors influencing employee’s engagement included the nature of the work, job success, receiving praise, job responsibilities, and opportunities for advancement. The study compared employee’s engagement levels based on personal factors, including gender, age, education, experiences, and average monthly wage. Significant differences were observed among these factors, with statistical significance levels equal to or less than 0.05
